United Staging and Rigging is hiring a box truck driver based at their Salem, NH location.

Your main responsibility is to complete on-time deliveries & pickups, with a secondary role performing daily warehouse activities as assigned (loading and unloading trucks, helping pick orders, etc).

The ability to drive a 24′ box truck in and around major cities (Boston) and on highways is crucial.

Knowledge of staging and rigging production and gear is a bonus, but not required. (You can learn the gear on the job)

This position is in live events, so a flexible schedule that can work early mornings, late/over-nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime is required. You will engage with clients and venue staff, so a friendly demeanor and professional appearance (no offensive or overly dirty/ripped clothing) are required.

 

Duties include:

  • Maintain clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Perform general warehouse help as needed when not driving
  • Maintain cleanliness of trucks, general inspection reports, and driver’s logs
  • Available to make deliveries & pickups on short notice
  • Available to work late nights, early mornings, and weekends as assigned
  • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and customer vehicles
  • Maintain accurate pick list paperwork, including missing items and non-USR equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Skills and Educational Requirements:

  • Ability to operate a 24’ Box truck
  • Ability to obtain DOT Health card
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Be able to lift/push 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
  • Be of good character, good work ethic, and a self-starter
  • Ability to receive direction from management and work well with staff

 

Bonus Skills (Nice, but not necessary. We gladly train cool people):

  • Proficiency operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
  • Knowledge of the entertainment/live events/staging and rigging industry and gear

Standard warehouse hours are Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch.

Driving times outside of these hours will be required.

Compensation: 
Base pay is $24/hour (commensurate with experience) + benefits for full-time.
